Detoxifying Summer Corn Salad



This addictive fresh salad is perfect to eat as a side, topping, or dip. This is our basic recipe so feel free to add more spice, creaminess, or veggies!

As things heat up and we begin sweating more, our bodies are happy to perform more detoxification than in the colder months. This salad is artfully designed to assist to gently detoxify the liver and build up of things like heavy metals.

Please always use organic ingredients as much as possible!!!


Salad

  • 1 pack of frozen corn

  • 1 bell pepper diced

  • 1-2 cups thin sliced radishes

  • 3 shredded carrots

  • 1/2 red onion


Dressing

  • 2 jalapeños

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro

  • 1/2 cup of healthy oil

  • 1-2 garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp spirulina

Instructions:

  1. get the process started of cooking the corn so you can chill it while prepping the vegetables

  2. dice slice and shred all the vegetables (see above for an idea of the cut sizes)

  3. refrigerate veggies while making the dressing

  4. put all ingredients for dressing in small blender or food processor, and blend until smooth

  5. toss salad together and enjoy

Notes:

-a delicious and decadent addition is mixing in some probiotic organic sour cream. For vegans try blended cashew cream! The starting photo is with the cream, the one below is without.


-I used 1/2 avocado oil and 1/2 coconut oil. I ran out of avocado oil :). The coconut changes the texture to be more dry and taste to be more coconut flavor, but still tasty.


-Should keep well in the fridge for at least 3-4 days

Cilantro- well known to remove heavy metals from the body including arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, lead, and mercury.

Unfiltered, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar- amazing for gut health, is a probiotic and prebiotic, may help balance acidity in the body, encourage lymphatic drainage and enhance circulation


Radish- gentle liver cleanse, blood purification
